De Vere Wotton House Wedding Photographer
Caroline and Alex both felt they would self-conscious in front of a professional photographer. They wanted me to document their wedding without the orchestration and posing they had suffered at friend’s weddings.
They didn’t want fashion type coverage, they wanted to spend the day with friends and family. Endless rounds of formal family portraits can make everyone feel uncomfortable. Documentary wedding photography was the right choice for them.
That’s exactly what I excel at. I dress and act like a guest. I blend in with the mood of the day, at the same time, work my socks off to make sure that every moment, and the moments between them, are photographed. This is the best way to make sure you look your best. Natural and relaxed documentary wedding photography.
I try and work as close as possible as well. I don’t shoot from the edges with big cameras and paparazzi type lenses. I’m right in amongst the action. Quiet, discreet, friendly and professional.
Here are a few images for their day showing my documentary wedding photography approach.
