Reportage Wedding Photographer – Bob Owen
Telling your story
Like all the best stories, life is a mix of big milestones and the small, fleeting moments that tie them together. Your love story is more than a tale of your first date, your first kiss or getting engaged. It’s about the everyday moments too – holding hands, cuddles on the sofa, making dinner, lazy Sunday mornings and conversations.
Your wedding is the same.
In between the big, iconic moments, there are the small and unexpected surprises that are just as precious and just as essential to the story of your wedding day.
You cannot leave your wedding photography to chance (or keen amateurs) if you want to capture these moments. They’re just too important.
Your reportage wedding photographer
Choosing the right wedding photographer for your special day is a huge milestone in realising your wedding plans. You want to be confident in your choice, to know that you can let the day unfold naturally without spending lots of time posing for pictures. After all, your wedding day is about going back to what’s important and celebrating your love story with your friends and family.
My name is Bob Owen and I have been a photographer for more than 25 years. Over time, my photography has evolved and developed into a need to tell stories that move and uplift. Looking back, it was perhaps inevitable that I would fulfil this need and find my niche as a reportage wedding photographer.
Every love story is unique; every wedding – with its central and supporting cast – an unforgettable tale of hope, emotion and joy. It’s a privilege to be the person who gets to tell that story.
Working with me
I use natural, reportage-style photography to capture real moments and emotions throughout your wedding day. I’ve mastered the art of blending in, even when I’m at the heart of the action. I’m wholly professional and easy to work with.
During our initial consultation, which can happen via phone, Skype or face-to-face, I’ll ask you lots about your plans for your wedding day, what’s happening where and when, and who’s who in your wedding party.
The next time you’ll need to think about your wedding photography is when you’re choosing the pictures for your album from your collection.
What happens next?
“Just a quick note to give our thanks to you for doing such a fabulous job with our photographs. We have loved them. We’ve been to several weddings since our own. We already knew what an incredible high-quality job you did, but seeing other people’s wedding photos has only reinforced this fact further. Thanks so much for managing to capture the narrative of the day as it unfolded with such style.” Mark & Sarah
“We engaged Bob because I liked the fact his style was more documentary, which was something I was looking for. I had reached out to several photographers but out of all of them, he was the most responsive and proactive from the first point of contact. From time of engagement, he went above and beyond what I expected in terms of working with our changing time schedules and demands. He told us that we wouldn’t notice him on the day, we didn’t believe him but at one point, I had to ask my husband whether he was there because I just never saw him. It was incredible, he was so non-intrusive and none of our guests even noticed him either. Then the results spoke for themselves, such fantastic shots that caught the romance and the party all in one. Very impressed all in all. Thanks again Bob!” Caroline & Scott
“ In short Bob was efficient, unseen yet personable. Throughout the planning process Bob was careful to anticipate every eventuality without causing any undue stress or additional work. On the day I couldn’t believe he had managed to position himself so well as to produce such a magnificent end result. Bob was adaptable and thorough, ever mindful of the end result without pressuring us whatsoever. When the day came to choose our top shots we were in Tuscany, but with an excellent system, we were able to select the shots easily, with a welcome slideshow surprise. Bob Owen completed his task with magnificence.” Jonny & Claire
